As a founding member, Melbourne Water has supported WaterAid Australia since it was established in 2003. This support includes a yearly donation through a corporate membership, as well as providing our people with the opportunity to support the charity through payroll giving and volunteering their time and energy to help organise a number of fundraising events including the Victorian WaterAid Ball. This strong partnership is enhanced through regular project updates from WaterAid’s Melbourne team, who have come along to support our fundraising meetings and engaged our staff through informative presentations. The work of WaterAid in enabling the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water and sanitation resonates well with the values and work of our organisation and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership to support this important cause. - Shaun Cox – Managing Director, Melbourne Water Our Corporate Relations Manager helps support our partner companies to develop their business by: inspiring and motivating staff facilitating employee learning, skills and development contributing to the career development of individual employees broadening cross-company working by bringing teams together on fundraising projects developing new relationships across the sector through social and networking events In addition to this, the water industry has helped engage their customers by distributing WaterAid information in around 2.5 million water bills each year.
