2 Nov 2017 | Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Will you play a part?

You’ll be joining a global network committed to one thing: reaching everyone, everywhere with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, within a generation.

Our Volunteer Committees are at the heart of WaterAid and provide almost 10% of WaterAid’s annual fundraising budget; crucial for our life-saving work in Cambodia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea. But our committees do so much more than that. Water industry employees, contractors and customers are fundamental to our progress so far: they are the connectors, the promoters, the inspirers across the country, in the offices and communities who share the many stories of hope that by banding together we can help and inspire and change lives for good.

Together we can unlock people’s potential with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.

Skills required for success

  • Passion, confident in your decision making and people-centred
  • A strong desire to develop your networks, reach out to others and inspire your peers
  • Leadership qualities and aspirations
  • A connection with the Australian water industry

You’re not alone

Our committees are well supported by the water industry sector and allied services and an active ambassador group of senior managers in Victoria assist in opening doors and leverage their reputation to mentor and support the committee.

There is also a professional event organiser engaged annually for the event, a talented team of enthusiastic volunteers and support from WaterAid.
