Statement on Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17

WaterAid is deeply saddened by the news of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 crash over the Ukraine today.

WaterAid is devastated to hear of the tragic loss of life in the crash, and that many of the passengers were colleagues from the global health community who were travelling to the International AIDS Conference in Melbourne.  

WaterAid joins the rest of the health community in being profoundly saddened by the loss of colleagues and the huge loss to the HIV/AIDS community. 

WaterAid expresses our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the people on Malaysian Airlines MH17.
