In February 2014, WaterAid announced its global partnership with H&M Foundation. The new partnership will bring safe water and sanitation to 250,000 schoolchildren and influence policy at national and international levels.
H&M Foundation is an independent non-profit global foundation, established in 2007 to celebrate H&M’s 60th anniversary. The foundation is the philanthropic group complementing H&M’s sustainability work. Through its programmes and initiatives, the foundation strives to have a positive impact on policy and the everyday lives of people living in the communities where H&M operates.
Building on WaterAid’s 12 year partnership with H&M, this new global partnership with H&M Foundation is a significant step, demonstrating commitment to tackling WASH issues.

HSBC Water Programme
HSBC has partnered with WaterAid, WWF and Earthwatch to establish a $100 million Water Programme that will deliver a powerful combination of water provision, protection and education, resulting in the most ground-breaking water programme committed to by a financial organisation.
Over five years, the HSBC Water Programme will support WaterAid to reach 1.1 million people with safe water and 1.9 million people with sanitation in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Ghana and Nigeria.
