Every Bucket Counts campaign
Smart Approved WaterMark, Australia’s water conservation labelling scheme, has just launched a new water saving campaign that will directly benefit WaterAid Australia.
‘Every Bucket Counts’ features three online calculators that show people how much water they could save around their homes by making a few simple changes.
For every online pledge it receives from Australians committing to save water when cleaning their car, using a pool cover or installing a rain tank, Smart Approved WaterMark will donate $2 to WaterAid Australia.
“We want people to see that saving water at home can have a real impact, not only here in Australia but in the countries where WaterAid works to help people without access to safe drinking water and sanitation,” said Julian Gray, CEO of the Smart Approved WaterMark scheme.
Smart Approved WaterMark will donate at least $5,000 to WaterAid Australia, up to a maximum of $10,000.
“On average, people across Australia each use 23 buckets of drinking quality water every day*. Our tap water is too precious to use on things like flushing our toilets, watering our gardens and washing our cars,” said Julian.
“We would be thrilled if we received 5,000 pledges from people wanting to save water and contributed $10,000 to the important work WaterAid does in our region. We need all Australians to get behind the ‘Every Bucket Counts’ campaign”.
