Australia’s new water, sanitation and hygiene strategy – input now!
This strategy will guide Australia's official International Development Assistance Programme on water, sanitation and hygiene under the governments A$300 million Water and Sanitation Initiative (2008-2011) and beyond. This is a unique opportunity to shape government policy and ensure Australia’s aid helps the poorest and most vulnerable to improve their health and wellbeing and live with dignity. WaterAid and other members of the WASH Reference Group will be making a formal submission on the draft strategy to Bob McMullan MP, Parliamentary Secretary for International Development, at the end of January. If you would like to find out more, please contact James Wicken, Head of Policy and Advocacy or make your own submission directly. Visit the AusAID website for a link to the draft.
