Tale of two villages
Wilson and Chiutika are both villages in rural Malawi, but clean water stands between them.

I take water from the river. We get sick from the water every day. We go to the doctors when the condition is worse. Sometimes two, sometimes three times a month. - Ekeless Kufankugona, Chiutika |

Since the tap we haven't noticed a reduction in sickness, we have noticed a full stop! People's lives have changed as they are healthier, they are able to do more work. - Ester Lucias, Wilson |
In 2009, WaterAid is determined to reach communities where safe, clean water is difficult to access. The challenges ahead will be difficult, but the result of this hard work will be life-changing for communities like Chiutika.
WaterAid supporters have already brought clean water to many communities like Wilson Village, who are thriving due to improved health. However, for those people living without access to safe water sickness and diarrhoea is a daily reality.
We are committed to bridging the gap between these communities and must not fail those who we have not yet reached.
Every $9,000 we raise is enough to drill a deep well in a community where water is especially difficult to access. This technology is essential to find water in areas where it is most scarce. If you are able to make a donation we would be extremely grateful.
