Imagine giving the true gift of life, 'water for life'. Imagine a world where everyone has access to safe drinking water and effective sanitation.

Sadly, around the world today, there are many people who do not have access to safe drinking water. 

As a result, 5000 children die every day as a result of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. Diarrhoea is now the second largest killer in the developing world and the frightening fact is that most cases are preventable.

Whilst we in Australia are worrying about having enough water to water our garden or wash our cars, there are 100 million people in South East Asia and the Pacific who lack access to clean water. In our region alone this results in 88,000 deaths of children under five. The average person in the developing world uses less than 10 litres of water a day – we use 21 litres an hour!
