New hope of action to end global water and sanitation crisis

Loo've Been Framed for WaterAid

The first ever High Level Meeting on Sanitation and Water was held in Washington, DC on Friday 23 April 2010  – a historic event that marked the culmination of two years of campaigning by WaterAid for a global plan on combating the water and sanitation crisis.

Our supporters petitioned Kevin Rudd to ensure Australia participated in the event through our Loo've Been Framed photo petition.  We turned these photos into a giant card and sent it to Kevin Rudd before the meeting.

At the event, ministers and policy makers from over 30 countries including Australia had the opportunity to commit to financial and political action, which would begin to reverse years of neglect.
