Film making contest: Water for life

WaterAid, in collaboration with DeshTV, gladly announces a short film contest for Bangladeshi film makers – both amateur and professional.
Shortlisted films will be screened in early April 2010 at a film festival and will be aired on DeshTV. Film makers of selected films will win crests and prize money as recognition of their work.
Theme ‘Water for life’
Your film should tell a story related to water and its implication in the life of the people, in the context of Bangladesh. The area of interest ranges from potable water to trans-boundary water, from remote rural communities to urban slums.
Stories may focus on people's struggles, achievements, feelings of joy, sorrow, and anything in between relating water. A good film will tell a story that inspires people and touches heart.

| All genres are welcome; animation, experiments, documentary, fiction or anywhere in between! Films should be at least 3 minutes long. |
Films can be shot in any format (BetaCam, DVCam, MiniDV, HandyCam or even using your cell phone) but must be submitted in DVCam (MiniDV acceptable). |

- Relevance to the theme
- Quality of storytelling
- Technical quality
- Originality
- Educational impact
- Overall impression
WaterAid and DeshTV reserve the right to accept or reject any film.

Please submit your film along with a signed copy of the submission form ( Word 59KB) by 1 April 2010 to:
