WASH Ethiopia Movement welcomes entries for the WASH Media Award Competition focusing on urban sanitation. Journalists can submit one piece of work such as an article from traditional print or recognised online newspapers, magazines or journals, a radio broadcast or a television documentary.

The WASH Media Award recognises and supports the role of media in raising awareness of the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• Originality of the work
• Quality of content and treatment
• Quality of research
• Relevance of Urban Sanitation issues

Entries must be published or broadcasted between December 2009 and end of August 2010, deadline for submission is September 15, 2010. Works should be submitted either in English or Amharic. Works not originally published/broadcast in one of these languages must be translated into English/Amharic.
