About us

WaterAid has worked in Ghana since 1985 helping to provide some of the poorest people with access to water, sanitation and hygiene education. Over the years WaterAid has developed to become one of the most distinguished and credible civil society organisations, involved in the community water and sanitation sector.

Vision and mission
Our vision is a world where everyone has access to safe water and effective sanitation.

History
WaterAid estabilished its Ghana country programme in 1985. Since then the programme has expanded in four distinct phases.

Strategy
A strategy running from 2006 - 2011 sets out our plans and activities for this period.

Organisation
WaterAid Ghana is organised around four core units. These units work in close collaboration with each other to ensure information flow and the overall effectiveness and efficiency in the programme.
