Where we work

In Ghana, WaterAid works in six out of the ten administrative regions. These regions are where our local partners are located. The partners work in 31 out of the 110 districts nationwide. Over the years our focus has been on rural communities.

At the moment, however, there has been the realization that some urban communities are equally deprived as the rural communities. We have therefore started a pilot urban project in Tamale, with the hope to extend it to other urban areas. Below is how our partner activities are spread:
