As a growing organisation we've been working hard to ensure that everyone involved with us, from the communities we work with, to our partner organisations in Africa and Asia, to each of you who supports us, feels a shared conviction in the work that we do.

By working together we maximise our strength and our calls for water and sanitation for all are amplified across the world.

I was therefore incredibly pleased to hear the results of recent supporter research about WaterAid, conducted by nfpSynergy, that some of you will have been involved with, which reinforced our belief. Thank you to everyone who responded.

The results have been amazing – whether in focus groups or questionnaires, we have heard the same story time and again.

Our supporters are committed to WaterAid because of the clarity of the work we do, and because our work in delivering water, sanitation and hygiene is so fundamentally important. An incredible 95% of those who responded believe that water and sanitation are basic human rights – a tremendous endorsement of our aims.

The results show there are high levels of trust and confidence in WaterAid. We aim to be open and transparent at all times and we will continue to strive to meet your expectations. 94% of people trust us to use their donations effectively and 93% have confidence that WaterAid is an effective charity.

Brian Garvey, Director of nfpSynergy, told us, "We conduct a lot of research amongst charities and, although supporter trust and confidence always feature as important issues, the levels that we have seen for WaterAid are remarkable."

You can read more on the findings of the research in our summary of the results, or, if you have any other feedback on the work that we do – please get in touch. We want to hear from you.

Thank you again! We really do think you are brilliant and will strive to continue to merit your support.
