Nigeria vacancies

To effectively implement our country strategy, WaterAid in Nigeria is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Communication and Campaigns Officer – Abuja

You will be responsible for successful promotion and strengthening of WaterAid Nigeria's profile through the media and other exhibition opportunities, facilitate campaigns for WaterAid key national and international events and coordinate support to civil society and media networks.

Minimum requirements include a university degree in communication, political science or other relevant social science field, with a minimum work experience of three years of which two must be in similar capacity. Strong knowledge of networking and advocacy will be an added advantage. Also note that the position will involve considerable travel within and outside Nigeria as the need arises.

Driver (two Positions) – Enugu and Jos

You will be responsible for safely conveying WaterAid staff, partners and visiting consultants to locations and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean at all times. You will also give considerable administrative support to the state programme office you are attached to.

The right candidate must be familiar with local, state and federal regulatory policies relating to safe driving on all Nigerian roads and able to effect minor repair on vehicles. Other requirements include possession of GCE O Level Certificate, a valid driving license and three years' driving experience. Working experience with an international development agency will be an added advantage.
