Supporter Relations Manager

11 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

With a growing number of supporters and campaigners in the UK, it is essential that everyone who contacts our organisation receives the highest standards of supporter care possible. The Supporter Relations Manager will be responsible for managing the effective and efficient handling and processing of the valuable donations we receive. The accurate processing of supporter donations helps to maximize supporter loyalty and value, which is generated through WaterAid’s communications and fundraising strategies.

Supporter Services consists of two teams – Supporter Relations, who handle and process donations and Supporter Care, who primarily handle all supporter enquiries and complaints. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Supporter Relations Manager on a fixed term one year contract, covering for maternity leave.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their:

  • proven staff management and team building skills
  • excellent internal stakeholder networking abilities
  • excellent working knowledge of donation handling processes through Raisers Edge, and ensuring key performance indicators are met in order to manage team activity and efficiency
  • experience of outsourced fulfilment management and familiarity of service level agreements in order to manage fulfilment partner activity
  • high level working knowledge of Direct Debit and Gift Aid regulations and processes
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and proven analytical skills.
