Say 'Thank you toilet' this World Toilet Day

Unsung hero Louie the Loo has finally found his voice - and he wants YOU to sing along with him!

5 Nov 2013

World Toilet Day, Tuesday 19 November, is almost here and this year Louie the Loo wants you to celebrate the little guy in the corner - him! It's time to say #ThankYouToilet.

Louie the Loo says: "It’s no fun being a toilet. We get called all sorts of names! Bog. Crapper. WC (I think it's French?) EVERYONE takes you for granted. When was the last time you said 'Thank you toilet' after your number ones and twos? I'll bet never. But you'd miss me if I wasn't there, wouldn't you?!"

Louie has just one wish - for you to share his song with as many people as you can.

This World Toilet Day, will you help make Louie the Loo a star and send this film to five friends?

What is World Toilet Day anyway?

World Toilet Day is officially recognised by the UN for the first time this year. The day was created to raise global awareness of the struggle faced by the 2.5 billion people - that's 1 in 3 people in the world - currently living without access to a safe, clean and private toilet.

Around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation – that's almost 2,000 children a day.
