Walking for water and sanitation

Every 22 March is World Water Day and this year, over 600,000 people from 30 countries took part in a global walk for water and sanitation.

26 Mar 2014

This annual event raises awareness of the water and sanitation crisis and provides an opportunity to call on decision-makers to fulfil everyone, everywhere’s human rights to these essentials.

Around the world, we used this opportunity to take action on water and sanitation and make our voices heard.

From Madagascar to Nepal, WaterAid took part in The World Walks for Water and Sanitation, which was organised by End Water Poverty. People across the world came together to participate in the walk and demand an end to the water and sanitation crisis.
