WaterAid Nigeria is raising awareness of water, sanitation and hygiene issues through a new radio show, Make e flow.

Make e flow (Make it flow) is a new radio drama series raising awareness of water, sanitation and hygiene issues across Nigeria. The show is recorded in Pidgin English, which is spoken widely in the country, cutting across ethnic and socio-economic divides and ensuring its messages have the maximum reach and impact.

Oluseyi Abdulmalik, Communications and Campaigns Manager at WaterAid Nigeria, said:

We are hoping that the production will not only significantly increase awareness of water, sanitation and hygiene issues but also inform and empower people to demand their rights to these essential services.

We are working to ensure every Nigerian enjoys access to safe water and sanitation and practises good hygiene. This drama series is a great way for us to reach out to as many people as we can.

The 13 episodes of Make e flow will be broadcast at 12pm every Thursday in Abuja on 99.5 Wazobia FM, a popular radio station in Nigeria and the first to use Pidgin English. The series is also being broadcast weekly on 94.5 BRC FM in Bauchi state and 90.5 Peace FM in Plateau state. It can be streamed online at: www.wazobiafm.com/abuja995
