How we work
WaterAid works in the water and sanitation sector through three main groups:
Policy makers - administrators of the sector at the executive, legislative and judicial levels of the three tiers of government.
Users or the communities - rural and urban.
Sector professionals - civil society, the donor community, the private sector and local and international financial institutions and development agencies.
WaterAid Nigeria has good relationships with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and is usually invited to comment on key issues within the sector. WaterAid Nigeria has good relationships in the three States in which it currently works. These three fall within two of the six geopolitical zones.
WaterAid has good relationships with UNICEF, DFID, EU and the World Bank. WaterAid is a respected leader within the civil society community.
