WaterAid Nigeria's goal in increasing its influence and leadership in the sector is to enable it to tackle the structural causes of poverty, particularly addressing the factors which deny poor people access to water and sanitation services.

WaterAid Nigeria's work in advocacy targets government at national, state and local levels. WaterAid Nigeria strives to influence international institutions and civil society organisations, forming a national platform, to be backed up by discussions and practical work at grassroots level consistent with addressing policy obstacles identified in the country strategy.

All WaterAid's public communications materials are based on verifiable facts from WaterAid research and field experiences and are subject to presentation and corporate identity quality control criteria.
