WaterAid is here to help
WaterAid is here to help,
WaterAid gives people hope
WaterAid is giving a helping hand,
But do we really understand?
Send some pennies or some pounds,
Lend WaterAid a helping hand.
In Africa some people walk for miles on end,
But still they're living on the edge.
Please help them to survive,
To have clean water and to stay alive.
Send some money to build a well,
So they don't need to live in hell.

WaterAid
No tap to turn,
No water to drink,
Just a dirty puddle on a muddy street.
No splashing in a bath,
No hot cup of tea,
Unless you walk to a river to get a bucket or three.
The water here is muddy,
The water here is dirty,
The water here is unclean,
How I wish we had a tap to run it clear and clean…

WaterAidWaterAid is helping
Don't let people die!
WaterAid is helping
Kids like you and I.
Give away some pennies
And you can help a lot,
You can save the people,
Quickly, it's your slot!
By Casey, Glyngaer Primary School
This great poem was written by Ella in South Wales about WaterAid and how we are helping.
WaterAid
WaterAid is helping,
WaterAid understands,
WaterAid are kind and
Always lend a helping hand.

WaterAid really cares,
WaterAid can help,
WaterAid is listening,
For the people who might yelp.
WaterAid is helping
The people who might die,
WaterAid is trying
And that is not a lie.
So think a little…no, a lot!
For the people with less water.
Save up your money send it off
You really know you OUGHTA!

This spoken word poem was written by George Harmer from Norfolk. It contrasts the lives of people who have access to water to those that don't and urges people to support WaterAid's work - well done George!
Water
We drink this every month, week and day
We use this in each and every way
This thing is water what we wash, clean and drink
But what about the other people in the world, did you think?
At least we have clean water for all these pleasures
But people in Africa, that would be life treasures
The poor people have to make a decision of a life time
Literally a life time, this is worse than a crime
It could result in death because of a 50-50 decision
I hope you think about this and use your vision
If you don't drink you die of dehydration
This disease is swarming the nation
If you do drink you can die of different diseases
So all I'm asking for is all of your pleases
That you think about the water you use today
Something you can do is pray and pray
But if you can look at the website WaterAid
Donate some money and don't be afraid
Because of your money people will survive
And in many peoples hearts you will arrive

Eleanor Thirlway, who wrote a story about a Tanzanian village, also sent us this lovely poem. Keep it up, Eleanor!
WATER!
Water is all around me, and yet I do not see,
The beauty that it brings the world, the flower, the tree
Water is like a friend always at my side,
But what oh what would I do, if that friend suddenly died.
If there was nothing there to quench my thirst,
Just dirty water or worse.
Put yourself in the other ones shoes
It isn't fair, they always loose.
We have it easy, you, and me
But they know how cruel life can be.
