Organisational structure
WaterAid Uganda is made up of a Country Representative and three core units that work closely together to share information and ensure the effective and efficient operation of the programmme.

Country Representative
Tim Fowler is WaterAid Uganda's Country Representative. As the Country Representative, Tim overlooks the management and monitoring of the country programme's activities.
The three core units of the country programme are the Programme Development and Support Unit (PDSU), the Advocacy and Communication Unit (ACU), and the Finance and Administration Unit (FAU).
Programme Development and Support Unit
The Programme Development and Support Unit is focused on three main objectives:

To strengthen planning and implementation of district support programmes.

To support the development of suitable approaches for water and sanitation service delivery in poor rural and urban communities.

To provide technical support to sector actors in the country.
The objectives will be achieved through:

Managing and providing technical assistance to the district support programmes (of Mpigi, Wakiso, and Katakwi Districts), the Kampala Urban project and the learning agenda in the Masindi district.

Strengthening, monitoring and evaluating projects and supporting the capacity development activities of training institutions, professional associations and NGO/Private Sector Partnerships in hygiene and sanitation.

Providing technical and advisory support to sector actors in the country (e.g to Directorate of Water Development/Technical Support Units, Ministry of Health/Environmental Health Division and NGOs through Uganda Water and Sanitation Network of NGOs (UWASNET).
Advocacy and Communication Unit
The Advocacy and Communication Unit focuses on influencing policy and promoting rooted advocacy by involving stakeholders at the lowest possible level. They also encourage the practice of documenting programmes to share experiences and best practice for future projects.
Finance and Administration Unit
The Finance and Administrative Unit is responsible for financial monitoring, reporting on all programme activities. They provide administrative support to the District Support Unit and Advocacy and Program Learning Unit.
