Annual report

2007/8 saw some major developments in the water and sanitation sector in Uganda, with a separate budget line for sanitation cleared by the Ministry of Finance and the finalizing of the Joint Water Supply and Sanitation Programme Support Plan.

Within this context WaterAid Uganda supported work that reached more than 56,000 people with safe water and more than 47,600 people with sanitation. As well as directly implementing projects, WaterAid collaborated with and influenced other organisations to ensure that projects were sustainable, targeted and effective.
