Student fundraising

RAG societies

If you are part of your university RAG society, there are so many ways to get involved. Whether it’s organizing a RAG raid, campaigning, or picking us as your charity of the year, you could help transform the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.

We can provide all the information about WaterAid you'll need, as well as support from our fundraising team and resources to help your events a success.

Contact our team on 020 7793 4989 or [email protected] to discuss how you would like to get involved.

Go #Blue4Water

Help us turn the world blue for World Water Day on 22 March!

We’re celebrating World Water Day to raise awareness about the world’s water crisis, and the 650 million people around the world who still lack access to safe, clean water – and we'd love you to get involved.

Dress in blue, paint yourself blue, decorate your university blue, bake blue cakes, drink blue drinks, play the blues... sing the blues! We don’t mind how you do it – just go blue.

Setting up a student group

Setting up a WaterAid society on campus is both fun and rewarding. It's a great way to meet new people, enhance your CV and transform the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.

We currently have five WaterAid societies around the UK. The Edinburgh group, the longest standing student society, organise a sponsored 'Walk for Water' every year, walking 10k while carrying 10 litres of water. In Glasgow, Salsa4Water raises thousands of pounds for WaterAid each year by teaching salsa dancing to fellow students. There are also WaterAid student societies in Lancaster, UEA and Southampton who have been doing their bit to ensure everyone everywhere has access to safe water, taps and toilets by 2030.

If there isn’t a society at your university you can set up your own, by contacting [email protected].
