Today's students will shape the future. Our exciting programme will help them tap into their creativity and make extraordinary change happen in their communities, and across the world.

How does it work?

WaterAid will lead two sessions, where games, films and debates will help students get to grips with the water and sanitation problems that face us all.

With this new knowledge, students will then work in teams to tackle three challenges:

  • Design a new, innovative water saving product
  • Develop a campaign to raise awareness and change attitudes around how we use water
  • Take on a fundraising activity.

Then: the competition. The teams will present their projects to a panel of judges at the Challenge: Water final. Could your students be the next innovation champions?

Why take part?

Linked closely to the national curriculum, Challenge: Water allows students to develop skills and apply learning in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

Teams will be supported along the way by industry experts, STEM ambassadors and WaterAid. Challenge: Water also gives students the opportunity to learn more about the range of STEM careers that are available.

All students will have the chance to achieve a silver CREST award, giving them national recognition and accreditation for their efforts.
