WaterAid's free Toilet Finder App has been launched to mark World Toilet Day on 19 November - a day to celebrate the humble loo.

So once you have located your nearest public convenience, please spare a thought for those who still have nowhere safe to go to the toilet.

Globally, 2.5 billion people lack access to a safe, clean place to go to the toilet.

The global sanitation crisis means 4,000 children die every single day.

WaterAid thinks this state of affairs is an international scandal and is campaigning hard to change them. You can find out more by checking out our Campaigns section and help us by spreading the word.

WaterAid also directly helps some of the world's poorest people in Africa and Asia gain access to clean water and safe toilets. You can help today by making a donation or setting up a regular gift.
