A journalist who loved the excitement of travelling to troubled areas but who, sadly, retired early. Liz came with her English cats and an ever changing coterie of interesting visitors to live in authentic Tuscany and thrived. She bore her disability courageously and without complaint. She was well read, witty, articulate and a forceful debater, especially on matters political and was always excellent company. Her sudden passing is a profound loss to family, friends and neighbours.
