About Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is a company which supplies drinking water and wastewater services to most of Wales and parts of western England. It provides drinking water to over 3 million people. Welsh Water is owned by Glas Cymru, a single purpose company with no shareholders and is run solely for the benefit of customers.

The education department at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water built two models of a ‘Ugandan village’ which are regularly used to teach pupils about the importance of safe water and sanitation. In November 2014, WaterAid and Welsh Water were proud to launch the first WaterAid awards at the Institute of Water’s Welsh Area Innovation Awards.
