Yorkshire Water

Since WaterAid was founded by the water industry in 1981, Yorkshire Water has been supporting our mission to transform lives with access to clean water and safe toilets, and improve hygiene practices in the world's poorest communities.

Yorkshire Water and Ethiopia

In 2013 Yorkshire Water launched a new five-year partnership with WaterAid as part of their Safe Water vision.

They aim to raise £1 million to support the delivery of clean water and safe toilets to 130,000 people in Ethiopia, to provide support to develop and increase capacity across 20 towns.

Fun and fundraising for WaterAid

Yorkshire Water employees, business partners and customers are encouraged to raise funds and awareness for WaterAid through events including the Kelda 24 Peaks, Water Cycle Challenge, quiz nights, golf days, cake bakes and the annual 10K run, where runners complete a course around one of Yorkshire Water’s spectacular reservoirs.
