Teams will set off from Hope Valley College across the Dark Peak area, enjoying spectacular views and exhilarating inclines before descending back through Edale to the college for refreshments and prize giving.

Money raised from the challenge will fund WaterAid’s life saving work in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is Africa's fourth largest and second most populous country but is one of the poorest countries in the world and one of the least well served in terms of water and sanitation.

Please save a copy of the initial briefing pack. It contains all you need to know about the Challenge, including route details, kit lists, and Challenge rules.

Please familiarise yourself with the pack thoroughly.

Please note: The Final Briefing Pack will be sent out after registration closes in June 2016.

STMC16 is a walking event only. We ask you during registration how long you think it will take you to complete your chosen course. We collate registrants’ answers to coordinate check point opening times. If you think you will any finish any of the courses sooner than 4 hours, please contact STMC@wateraid.org before registering online.

Marshalls and Volunteers

If you would like to donate your time on the 9th July, please email your name and availability to STMC@wateraid.org and we will get back to you.

We’re committed to making this event a huge success and we know you are too. So we're asking that everyone raises a minimum of £23 each (online) - we're sure you'll agree that this is an achievable goal. Feel free to go above and beyond this goal though! If each person raises £23 before 3 July 2016, then the whole team will also be considered trophy-eligible on the event day.

Polite request: Please create a page just for you and not 'on behalf' of your entire team - this is so we can track each person's individual fundraising and it helps us to award trophies more efficiently too.

If you want to join your personal fundraising page together with your friends' Just Giving pages you can do that after you've created your page.

Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your Just Giving account
  2. In the top right hand corner of the screen, click on your name and select 'Your Fundraising'
  3. Click 'Start a new team'
  4. Name the team and choose the team's web address
  5. Decide if your page is going to be open (anyone can join) or closed (you’ll need to authorise new team members)
  6. Set the team’s fundraising target
  7. Choose your fundraising page to add to the team
  8. Click on 'Make a team page'
  9. You're done!

Details of how to send us your offline sponsorship can be found in the Initial Briefing Pack, found on the Event Information tab.
