If your team of three becomes a team of two; please get in touch and we will try to find another team for you to walk with.

During registration on, you’ll be asked to fundraise through JustGiving. Please choose Yes. You will be prompted to create a fundraising page directly linked to your registration. If you have a JustGiving account already, have your login details to hand so you create your page right there during registration.

You can’t retrospectively link your registration with JustGiving. This means that any fundraising pages set up after you register won’t show in your account. It’s important that we know you’re fundraising so we can keep track of how well everyone’s fundraising is going.

Why use JustGiving instead of another service? We prefer you to use JustGiving so we can ensure your fundraising is properly assigned to the correct event.

Why is it important that I collect sponsorship?

The money raised from your fundraising will go to fund WaterAid’s life saving work in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is Africa's fourth largest and second most populous country but is one of the poorest countries in the world and one of the least well served in terms of water and sanitation.

We’re asking your team to raise at least £200. In a team of four, that’s only £50 each.

What your fundraising could buy

£20 - a pair of taps

£37- a hand pump

£54 - a mason to construct a family toilet

£80 - a rainwater harvesting system for a family

£160 - a school handwashing facility with four taps

To date, the Severn Trent Mountain Challenge has raised over £650,000 for our work in Ethiopia.

We have a number of trophies that we award to the fastest teams in each course. Although the trophies are awarded to the fastest teams, we don’t encourage you to rush the course. Your safety is our top priority in this event.
