Take on the challenge of the Kelda 10k around the picturesque reservoir of Scammonden.

Located just off the M62 motorway between junctions 22 and 23, Scammonden Reservoir spans the Deanshead Valley in the Pennines between Leeds and Manchester.  Major improvements have recently been completed at Scammonden; one of Yorkshire Water’s most popular reservoirs. This event will give runners the chance to witness these improvements first hand and check out exactly what Scammonden has to offer. The route will run mainly on the permissive paths but also includes some gradients, some steps and boardwalks.

All money raised from the event will help WaterAid bring clean water to 130,000 people in Ethiopia. Yorkshire Water and Kelda have committed to raising £1million for projects in Ethiopia over 5 years. All funds and sponsorship raised from this event will go towards achieving this target.

The event is open to all Kelda, Service and Contract Partner employees and family and friends so please do encourage everyone you can to take part with you. So come on, what are you waiting for? Help WaterAid #FinishThirst by taking part in the 10k run at Scammonden Reservoir, sign up now and let your training commence.

Here’s what some of the runners from last year’s event had to say:

"A fantastic event, very well planned, I am looking forward to the next one!"

"It was a most enjoyable event. The support was brill."
