Health and wellbeing

We encourage our employees to maintain their wellbeing through onsite discounted yoga classes, massages, outdoor fitness classes and our cycle facilities and purchase scheme. All employees can also access dedicated support through our employee assistance programme or by purchasing their own Health Cash Plan. We promote a healthy work-life balance through a generous annual leave provision (including an option to purchase additional annual leave).

Family and longer term support

We support our employees in maintaining a healthy balance between family and work life through a range of family friendly policies, alongside additional support like child care vouchers. Through our learning and development programme, all employees are able to further develop their skills and knowledge. There are regular knowledge sharing sessions and we also support employees in their own professional development through a variety of schemes.

Social activities

We recognise that our employees want to meet others and have fun. Our active Staff Association organises regular social activities for employees alongside a WaterAid Film Club and Book Club. We also offer opportunities to support WaterAid outside of the normal 'day job' by getting involved in a range of volunteer activities, including WaterAid events and festivals, running or cheering at marathons, training as a volunteer speaker and many more.


We appreciate that many of our staff members are interested in sustainability, protecting the environment and helping others. Staff can get involved by joining initiatives like our environmental working group, or by supporting the charity of their choice through payroll giving.
