With social media playing an increasingly prominent role in the lives of our supporters – and potential supporters – there’s never been a more exciting or challenging time to be a social media manager.

WaterAid is looking for a temporary Social Media Manager (four months) to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.

Working within the Digital Communications team, the Social Media Manager will help enhance our profile and reputation, and engage with our target audiences in meaningful, relevant ways.

You will be responsible for maintaining and increasing engagement levels across our various social media platforms, measuring success, and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an ongoing programme of activity that supports WaterAid’s organisational objectives. Full of great ideas, you'll be able to bring a creative spark to our social presence.

To be successful, you’ll need to have an established track record in social media marketing communications, along with excellent copywriting skills, and an appreciation of the charity sector. Most importantly, you will have an infectious enthusiasm for the power of social and its potential for WaterAid.
