Churches
WaterAid receives tremendous support from faith groups all around the UK. Although much of our work with faith groups has been with churches we welcome support and interest from all other religious denominations or groups wanting to improve the lives of those in need.
WaterAid has strong links with church organisations overseas and in some cases works in close co-operation with their organisations when delivering its projects. For example WaterAid works with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church (EOC) in the Northern region of Ethiopia.
Great ways to get involved
There are many ways your faith group can get involved. One example is through a sunday school, like the pupils at Millom and Haverigg Methodist Church who explored WaterAid's learning resources in their church holiday club.
The children made posters with a water theme for a competition, with the minister chosing the the winning poster. On the final day small groups delivered presentation about how WaterAid can help people.
And of course they played lots of games with water and enjoyed getting very wet!

Buckets of pennies for buckets of water
Collect small change to help us make a big change! Collect buckets of pennies and WaterAid will turn them into buckets of clean water for some of the world's poorest people, helping them overcome poverty.
