Faith groups
Water for harvest, water for lifeAcross the world 1.1 billion people live without safe water and 2.6 billion lack access to sanitation. As a result 5,000 children die everyday from preventable diarrhoeal diseases. Support WaterAid this harvest and give water to give life. ChurchesWaterAid receives tremendous support from faith groups all around the UK. Although much of our work with faith groups has been with churches we welcome support and interest from all other religious denominations or groups wanting to improve the lives of those in need. WaterAid has strong links with church organisations overseas and in some cases works in close co-operation with their organisations when delivering its projects. For example WaterAid works with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church (EOC) in the Northern region of Ethiopia. We are always keen to hear from churches interested in raising funds for our work and can provide you with a range of resources and support to help.
