WaterAid Local Groups
 |
| Local community groups play a vital role in WaterAid's fundraising and campaigning. |
|
From the local village jumble sale to remote villages in Africa and Asia, communities lie at the heart of WaterAid.
Through a WaterAid Local Group, your community can benefit others across the globe.
What are local groups?
WaterAid's local groups raise funds and awareness on an ongoing basis, enabling us to help even more people year after year.
Groups act as WaterAid ambassadors in their community by raising WaterAid's profile on a local level and bringing people together.
What support do we provide?
WaterAid believes that the most sustainable projects are the ones which focus on community needs and requirements.
The same applies to local groups which is why our groups are as individual as our projects around the world. Whatever a group wants to do WaterAid can offer support with resources and advice, just get in touch and let us know your plans! Contact us at groups@wateraid.org.

Facts and Figures Over the years, local groups have raised nearly £225,000 for our life changing work. They have raised our profile in the local media and campaigned to make a lasting difference. There are currently fourteen groups; from the Outer Hebrides all the way down to Penzance. The group sizes vary and the events they hold differ. The one thing they all have in common is that they all support WaterAid's vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.
