Sing for Water London 2007
Sing for Water 2007 was the most spectacular event yet with an unprecedented number of participants making the journey to London’s Southbank to Sing for Water. More than 800 singers gathered to perform as part of the tenth Thames Festival. This year’s Sing for Water has so far raised over £29,000.
By holding a concert for WaterAid you will be singing for some of the world's poorest people while bringing your performances to a new audience.
In 2002 Sing for Water London, a mass concert performed at the Thames Festival, was first launched. Since then, the event has raised more than £250,000 for WaterAid through participants' sponsorship and donations collected on the day.
The Sing for Water initiative has since gone from strength to strength as other community choirs have been inspired to organise their own events across the UK. Donations from all Sing for Water events in 2007/2008 will go towards WaterAid projects in Ghana and Malawi.
In the summer of 2007 singers gathered at Unicorn Voice Camp and raised more than £5,000 for WaterAid.
