Turn Wine into Water for World Water Day 2012
Get involvedWe can help Scovia and thousands like her to escape the poverty trap. Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene will give Scovia the time and health to be able to go to school and realise her dreams. Between now and WWD, 22 March 2012, We are calling on Soroptimist clubs across the UK and Ireland to help raise funds and awareness of the 4,000 children dying every day from water-related illnesses. Please get involved and help us to help Scovia and hundreds of girls like her. What can you do?Back by popular demand, we are asking your club to turn "wine into water" by hosting a wine related fundraising event. You could host a cheese and wine evening, a wine tasting evening or a wine water quiz - basically involve wine and you'll be fine! It's really easy to do and our free resources below will help you along the way.
Just £15 can provide someone with a lasting supply of safe water, sanitation and hygiene so no matter what size your event is, the funds you raise will go a long way to empower the lives of girls in the poorest communities in the world.
