How your club can get involved
World Water Day is on 22nd March 2010 and we are asking your club to organise a tea party on or around that date to raise funds for WaterAid. Join with clubs across the UK to hold a tea party, coffee morning, garden party or a cheese and wine evening. Choose from a variety of fundraising ideas at your event to help us give access to clean water! Did you know that there is an estimated £65 million in lost pennies in the UK? So now is the time to search the back of your sofa and put your loose change to good use! You could do a collection at your Tea Party event, a bucket shake in your local town centre or pack bags at your local supermarket for a bucket donation! Be as creative as you like and help us transform your buckets of pennies into buckets of water! To tie in with SIGBI's 75th anniversary, we have set a target for 75 clubs to visit their local politicians and present our ‘Manifesto in a Bottle’. With the forthcoming general election, it is a crucial time for us to get our message in front of local MP’s. Help us ensure that all political parties are committed to leading international efforts to tackle the global sanitation and water crisis.
