Hygiene education
- £1 could pay for a hygiene promotion manual
- £2 could pay for the training of one hygiene education volunteer
- £10 could pay for a hygiene promotion campaign through street drama / people's theatre
- £10 could pay to set up a school health club
- £35 could pay for a year’s hygiene education for 100 households / school children
- £50 could pay for a bicycle for one hygiene education volunteer, (not yet provided by WAB)
Water
- £10 could pay for a toolkit to maintain a village water point, (containing 2 x slide wrenches, 1 x player, 2 x buckets, 1 x screw driver and 8 x screws)
- £20 could pay to rehabilitate a village water point including platform
- £66 could pay to cover training cost for a WatSan committee comprising of eleven members
- £100 could pay for a rainwater harvesting tank for ten people
- £150 could pay for a shallow tube well
- £300 could pay for a deep set (excluding borehole cost)
- £650 could pay for a deep tube well
- £850 could pay for a tap-water option for 160 people
- £1,100 could pay to construct a ring-well, (this is a feasible option in hill-tract in south east and hilly areas in north east region)
- £5,000 could pay for a gravity flow scheme / borehole providing water for 250 people
