World Toilet Day

World Toilet Day

If you don’t have enough time or have already made plans for your harvest festival then you can still support WaterAid on 19 November for World Toilet Day.

Although it is easy to focus on water, this is only a third of the problem. 2.2 billion people worldwide still do not have access to sanitation facilities which is the most effective means to prevent diarrheoa, the most common cause of death among infants in the Third World. And the simple activity of hand washing can reduce diarrhoeal diseases by 40 percent. Your school can really make a difference to some of the world’s poorest people.

Find out about what you can do to support WaterAid this World Toilet Day.
