WaterAid have put together a selection of school harvest resources to help you with your harvest activities.
Please use these resources to help spread the importance of water and sanitation to future generations. The School harvest pack includes two poems and two drama sketches as well as advice on how to raise publicity for your fundraising events.
Other resources to help you make you school harvest a success include poems and drama sketches for the classroom and a publicity pack to help you promote your activities.
We have also put together a series of powerpoint presentations for nursery, primary and secondary students about WaterAid's work. The presentations are an ideal way to make your lessons fun, educational and help to spread our message this harvest time.
If you don’t have enough time or have already made plans for your harvest festival then you can still support WaterAid on 19 November for World Toilet Day.
Although it is easy to focus on water, this is only a third of the problem. 2.2 billion people worldwide still do not have access to sanitation facilities which is the most effective means to prevent diarrheoa, the most common cause of death among infants in the Third World. And the simple activity of hand washing can reduce diarrhoeal diseases by 40 percent. Your school can really make a difference to some of the world’s poorest people.
