Supporting WaterAid can be a great way to motivate employees, increase teamwork, help create a positive workplace atmosphere and give employees the opportunity to develop new skills. Why not mark World Water Day or World Toilet Day with one of the following fundraising ideas.
Auction of promises – Instead of goods, promises of people's time, labour or talents are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Give an hour Get everyone in the company to think about how much time they save having water on tap and donate an hour's pay to WaterAid. Find out more. |
Be a sport – Make fundraising your goal with an It’s a knockout, five-a-side football, netball or golf tournament or even a traditional sports day.

Dress down day – Make a donation to WaterAid and avoid wearing your suit or uniform for the day! Tasteless Tie and Tack Earrings always go down well!
Photo competition – Challenge everyone to take a photo on their holiday with a watery theme, and then hold a photographic exhibition in your canteen or reception area.

Spend a penny – place a collection box by the toilets with a notice asking everyone using it to make a donation each time they spend a penny!
The Big Splash – Get your revenge - put your manager in the stocks and charge to throw wet sponges at them.
Time for Tea – Hold a coffee and cake morning, bake sale or tea party for your colleagues.
Turn wine into water Organise a wine-tasting competition in the lunch hour? (With buckets to spit out the wine, of course!) |
