Corporate donations and Gifts in Kind

By far the simplest and most effective way to support WaterAid's work is through a company donation. In addition to helping some of the world's poorest people you also have added the opportunity of offsetting your charitable giving against your company’s corporation tax.
Supporting WaterAid through a donation is a sound financial investment. Every £1 invested in water and sanitation leads to another £8 in averted costs and productivity gained in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Gifts in Kind
Gifts in Kind transform your expertise and facilities into support for WaterAid.
Gifts we would welcome include:
- Venues for events
- Meeting room space
- Certain types of office equipment or
computers
- Gifts that we may be able to use as
auction or raffle prizes
- Business skills training
WaterAid welcomes this form of giving, however, we may not be able to use all gifts, so please do check with us if you are unsure.
For example, our work overseas uses simple, low-cost technology which our beneficiaries must be able to source and maintain themselves. Therefore, we are unlikely to be able to make use of any high-tech water and sanitation equipment.

Miller Brands, part of the SABMiller plc Group, responsible the development of beers including Pilsner Urquell, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro in the UK and Ireland, chose WaterAid as its charity of the year in 2010.
Miller Brands was keen to offer more than just financial support and recently organised a session for WaterAid employees to help improve their business skills including understanding customers needs, communication and evaluation methods.
Jonathan Bennett, Head of Corporate Affairs at Miller Brands said, “We are sharing our skills and resource with an organisation whose skills and actions make a difference to thousands of communities across the world. WaterAid has a vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation and we’re pleased to help them achieve this in whatever way we can.”
The training, which was developed for the WaterAid corporate fundraising team, was very well received and learnings from it will help the team to build even more effective corporate partnerships in future.
