Belu water
Belu bottled water
WaterAid is now the exclusive charity partner of eco-friendly bottled water brand, Belu. Available in a growing number of restaurants and venues across the UK, including Zizzi's, Café Rouge and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen, profits from the sale of Belu water will be going to WaterAid with a minimum commitment of £300,000.

Belu water is the first carbon-neutral bottled water in the UK, and their commitment to supporting clean water projects, makes it an ideal partnership for both organisations.

Karen Lynch, Belu's managing director says "Belu has always recognised that water is a precious commodity and partnering with WaterAid allows us to increase our focus on pioneering environmental practice. Each bottle of Belu water will feature an on-label promise to support WaterAid which lets our customers and their consumers know that we are committed to building a business from which every penny in profit is donated to the charity's life saving work." Advanced Demand Side Management (ADSM) has supported WaterAid since 2007 through its water contract, Aquafund.

The Aquafund provides expertise, resources and infrastructure to drive down UK organisations’ water costs, helping them to make water savings and efficiencies.

A percentage of the money saved is given to WaterAid, enabling some of the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water and sanitation, as well as ensuring the businesses are reducing their water usage and leakage across their sites.

Patrick McCart, Director at ADSM says:

"Our clients can now reduce water consumption, save money and contribute to their corporate social responsibility objectives, whilst knowing that they are assisting people in developing countries. Our initiative with WaterAid could bring fresh water to thousands of people - a basic human right."
