Back to the Future – By Any Means!

During April 2010 Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants' Business Development Team and the Taybarns Restaurants teamed up to raise money for WaterAid.

They organised a sponsored relay called 'Back to the Future – By Any Means!', where teams had to travel around the country over an eleven day period, visiting all the new Premier Inn sites opened in the previous year, and some of the restaurant sites that have been through a rejuvenation.

The aim was to travel between sites without incurring any costs, using as many forms of transport as possible – some of the more inspirational forms of transport included punting, space hoppers, roller blading and shopping trolleys! In total the teams covered a huge distance of 1,377 miles, visiting more than 40 sites, and in the process raising a fantastic sum of £10,000!
