Fundraising ideas and publicity tips

There are lots of fun ways you can raise money for WaterAid with Drink More Water
There are lots of fun ways you can raise money for WaterAid with Drink More Water.
  • Hold a 'drink water for a week' campaign in your office! Encourage everyone to give up tea, coffee and fizzy drinks and to make a donation every time they have a glass of water
  • Hold a dress down, or a blue themed clothes day and ask staff to pay a suggested donation to take part
  • Why not also get your staff canteen involved in the fun! You could ask them to collect donations at the till points, display posters and put information on tables
  • Make a splash! Make drinking water more fun; put some slices of lemon and lime by your water points and at meetings and conferences, you could even put some colourful straws and swizzle sticks to really spice up your drink
  • Why not contact your HR department and ask for the Drink More Water pop-up and screen saver reminder to be loaded onto the server as part of a 'well-being at work' campaign. Download the screensaver from our Downloads page.

  • Let everyone know what you are doing! Try and get a piece about what you have planned onto your company's intranet or into your staff magazine
  • Email away! Send out an email explaining what you are doing with a web link to encourage people to find out more
  • Contact us! Let us know about your event and send us your photos and anecdotes so we can share them on our website
