Fundraising ideas and publicity tips
Every day around 5,000 children die as a result of water related diseases. Here in the UK we are lucky to have access to safe, clean drinking water. There are many reasons why we should all drink more water and what better way to start the new year than with a detox to help you maintain your body's health.
Donate today to help bring safe water to the world's poorest people

"A healthy human can survive about a month without food, yet only up to three days without a source of water. Whether you are looking to exercise harder and longer, have glowing skin and bright eyes, improve kidney and heart health, increase energy levels or just wash out all the extras you’ve had a bit too much of then take a long glass of the pure stuff.
"Drink a large glass with every meal, some warming herb teas in between, a bottle as you sweat through exercise, keep alcohol and caffeine down and you’ll soon be refreshed, topped up and ready to go."
Nicole Berberian, MSc(Nutrition) BSc(Hons) R Nutr. Nutritionist for Channel Five News/Sky.
More about our work
Agnes Mwiling from Choobana village in Zambia explains what life was like when she had to collect and drink water from the river bed.
"When we drank it people were sick with diarrhoea. But it wasn't only diseases that were a problem - it used to take at least two hours to collect water from here. Depending on the time of year, we had to dig down. Sometimes the pits would be as tall as I am but then animals would push the sides in and we had to re-dig them every day."
