Cisco Euro Challenge
11-14 September 2008
Center Parcs
Sauerland, Germany

The Cisco Euro Challenge in aid of WaterAid takes 70 top company teams from across Europe to compete against each other and experience two days and three nights of exhilarating action and adventure!

Described by many past participants as a
"life-changing experience", this Intelligent Sport® challenge is designed to test your physical, mental, and strategic skills as you work with your teammates to be the first to cross the finish line. What's more, you'll be helping some of the millions of people without clean water and sanitation along a path to get them out of poverty.

Known as the "home of a thousand mountains", Center Parcs is the perfect backdrop for the action and adventure you'll experience on the Cisco Euro Challenge. Over two days and three nights, be prepared to run, cycle or even kayak at night on a course designed to test every aspect of mind, body and spirit.

Travelling across a breathtaking array of varied terrain, you and your team could be climbing an exhilarating 840 metres to the very top of mountain ranges one minute, and kayaking your way down streams and reservoirs the next - all while knowing you're helping change the lives of some of the world's poorest people.

Intelligent Sport® challenges take participants out of their comfort zone and focus on the strategic, mental and team aspects of sport, testing a whole range of skills. The physical challenge is only part of it: Smart planning, decision making and effective communication make up the key requirements for success.

For the first time, teams competing in the Cisco Euro Challenge will have the opportunity to earn clues that will help them in the challenge, while also helping some of the world’s poorest people gain access to clean water and sanitation.

Who competes?

Seventy teams made up of four people and one senior executive will take part in the Cisco Euro Challenge, all competing to walk away with the title of Best European Team. There is also the chance to be crowned Best Business Team in the world, and the top 11 teams have the opportunity to represent their company on a global scale at the World Team Challenge in Cyprus in December.

Teams have come from some of the best companies across Europe from a variety of sectors:

Accenture
