Play fantasy football for WaterAid
Challenge your colleagues to a football managers dream! Give in to your footy fever with the Daily Telegraph's Fantasy football competition through WaterAid and get ready for a full season of footy excitement! By playing through WaterAid, your entry donation goes directly to us, helping to support WaterAid's vital work bringing safe drinking water, adequate sanitation and hygiene education to some of the poorest communities in the developing world. You’ll still get all of the perks of the Telegraph's national game, with online transfers, regular updates and, best of all, you're still eligible for £100,000 in prizes from the Daily Telegraph! You will also be entered into WaterAid’s competition, with cash prizes for the top three teams! How to sign upThis year there is a major change to how teams are entered. The best way to enter a team is on the Telegraph website. The Daily Telegraph charge £6 per team entered into their competition if you play directly through them. Playing through WaterAid means the Daily Telegraph waive the £6 entry fee but hope you’ll donate £6 (as a suggested amount) to WaterAid. To ensure WaterAid entries don't have to pay the £6 entry fee to the Telegraph, we will supply you with access codes. Access codes are available for one or two teams. If you wish to enter more teams you will need to get more than one access code. To get an access code you need to:
to Ian Miles at Q&E WQST, Severn Trent Water, 4th Floor East, 2297 Coventry Road, Sheldon, Birmingham B26 3PU. You will then be emailed an access code along with the super league code. This code will only be valid for one or two teams dependant on how many are requested. You've got a budget of £50m to spend on 11 players from the Premiership, with no limit on the number of players you can have from any one club. You can use either a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 formation (see below) and you'll be able to switch easily between the two during the season.
Fantasy Football player list ( Once you have registered, you will be given a unique Fantasy Games PIN number. You’ll need this to log on to the Daily Telegraph fantasy football site to make transfers or check the status of your team. You should get this before the season starts. Making transfersBefore the season starts, you are able to change your team as often as you like. The Telegraph allow you to make up to 30 transfers in the season (with a maximum of four allowed per week).
You can buy and sell players as long as the overall value of your team stays at £50m or less and you follow either a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation (to change formation simply swap one of your strikers for a midfielder or vice versa). To make transfers online you will need a transfer password, which is published in The Daily Telegraph every Wednesday. Information about scoring points, player prices, and the national competition is also available at www.fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk.
