How to get your sponsorship to us

Thank you very much for all your fantastic fundraising efforts!

Here are a few points on how to send in your offline sponsorship money and what you need to know about your funds collected online.

Offline sponsorship

Download an event sponsorship form ( PDF 82K) - you may photocopy this form.

The easiest way for us to process the offline funds you have so generously raised, is for you to send your sponsorship money in to us once you have collected as much of it as possible.

• All cheques should be made payable to 'WaterAid'
  
• Please remember to state your name, address and the title of your event in all correspondence, so we can thank you and acknowledge receipt of the funds sent in
  
• Please also enclose any sponsor forms with the names/addresses of your sponsors and whether they would like us to apply for GiftAid
  
• We strongly recommend that you send your sponsorship via recorded delivery so that you can track and hopefully retrieve your envelope if it goes missing. Sponsorship does go awol in the post from time to time, and it's hugely disappointing for both supporters and the charity so it is always worth the extra effort

Online sponsorship

• You can set up your own WaterAid online sponsorship page here www.justgiving.com/wateraid
  
• All sponsorship money collected via your online sponsorship page is paid directly into WaterAid's bank account
  
• GiftAid shall automatically be claimed on all donations where the online sponsor has clicked the GiftAid declaration box
  
• Please make sure you set your expiry date for your online sponsorship page for after your event (but no more than three months after to avoid having to chase sponsors indefinitely!), as many people sponsor event participants after their event is over
  
• Please let us know when you have finished collecting your online sponsorship so we can update your record on our database
  
• If you decide to hold another fundraising day or challenge to raise funds for WaterAid, you can use the same username and password to set up another page, as your WaterAid JustGiving account will remain active
